Abandoned railway bridge to gain new life as pedestrian bridge in OKC

Oklahoma City intends to convert an abandoned railway bridge over the Oklahoma River into a pedestrian bridge.

The $1.3 million budgeted under a 2017 bond package approved by voters will go toward the bridge that once allowed Frisco, Burlington Northern as well as Santa Fe trains to pass over the river. It was originally built in 1956 reported The Oklahoman.
