For those who might recall how a 2023 hail storm in western Nebraska destroyed a Scottsbluff, Nebraska solar farm and its 14,000 solar panels, a similar event occurred earlier this month near Houston, Texas.

A March 15 hail storm hit the solar farm near the town of Damon and baseball-sized hail took quick work of the Fighting Jays Solar Farm in Fort Bend County. The two-year old solar farm generated 350 megawatts across 3,300 acres of land, according to KTRK TV News.
