Crude oil prices drop as Middle East talks fail to produce peace in Gaza

Crude oil prices suffered a dollar a barrel loss in Tuesday’s trading as Middle East countries encountered resistance to their proposed peace in Gaza where Israel is still attempting to eliminate Hamas.
There are existing concerns that without an end to the fighting, Iran, OPEC’s third-largest producer, might be drawn into the war.
US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude finished down $1.20 or 1.4% at $85.23 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange..
Brent crude, the global benchmark finished down with a loss of 96 cents or 1.1% at $89.42 per barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
May natural gas rose 3 cents to $1.87 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks ended the day split with Mammoth Energy Services recording a strong 3% gain while Chesapeake Energy, Empire Petroleum and Helmerich & Payne experienced moderate losses.
