Crude oil prices made 1% gain in Monday’s trading and OK energy stocks saw moderate gains

The day after Easter, crude oil prices made a nearly 1% gain on expectations that demand will get a boost from economic growth in the U.S. and China. At the same time, OPEC+ is continuing with output decreases and Russian refineries are being attacked by Ukrainian drones.
West Texas Intermediate crude rose 54 cents or 0.7% to settle at $83.71, its highest close since Oct. 27 of last year on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude settled at $87.42 a barrel after gaining 42 cents or 0.5% in trading on ICE Futures Europe.
May natural gas rose 8 cents to $1.84 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Gains outnumbered losses among Oklahoma energy stocks on Monday with Devon Energy seeing a nearly 2% increase while Empire Petroleum fell by the same number. Others had moderate gains and losses.
