Do something to save the Ogallala Aquifer—Kansas Water Authority

Kansas Water Authority members appear at a table during a meeting

The Kansas Water Authority decided this week it’s time for the state to stop draining the Ogallala Aquifer and save it fore future generations.

Meeting in the northwest Kansas city of Colby, members unanimously approved a move urging the state government to take steps to stop the decline of the aquifer, which stretches across Western Kansas and through the Oklahoma Panhandle.
