Drumright firm prepares to ship massive project

Drumright’s T&D Fabrication recently finished a two-year project of building a a water treatment plant column that is as big as a rocket.

The 189-foot-long absorber column will be shipped to Springfield, Illinois. It was also the largest project the company ever completed, according to News on 6.

Known as an “oil and gas powerhouse” for engineering, drafting and manufacturing, the company was formed in 1995.

The shipping of the massive column to Illinois won’t be anything new for T&D. As its website notes, “We have shipped products all over the world. We have trucked vessels to Texas, flown vessels to Africa and shipped vessels by sea to Russia.”
