Heavy rains soak southern Oklahoma

 

Weekend rains in far southern Oklahoma might have gone a long way in eliminating any dry conditions there.

More than 6 inches of rainfall was recorded from August 19 through 22 in Waurika while 4.51″ fell at Ringling. Some localized reports showed up to 8 inches in some areas according to the Oklahoma Mesonet.
