Oklahoma still doesn’t have a Buc-ee’s while Arkansas is about to get its first

Weeks after Colorado opened its first Buc-ee’s travel stop, Arkansas could get its first of the popular and fast-growing stores, adding to the chain of 44 stores across the country.

The Arkansas Business Morning Roundup on Wednesday reported officials in Benton have approved a site and utilities plan for a mega travel center Buc-ee’s. It would be the company’s first loccation in Arkansas.

The $60 million center will be built on a 30-acre site off exit 114 along Interstate 30. Once completed, it could create 250 jobs and serve an estimated 5 million visitors a year.

Benton is located southwest of Little Rock.

Buc-cee’s has yet to locate a store in Oklahoma.
