State House Committee to review retail electric supplier act

 

Voters in Oklahoma will be able to watch live coverage Thursday when the House Utilities Committee handles a measure focusing on electric service companies offering service outside their own service territories.

Introduced by Rep. Trey Caldwell of Lawton, it is called the Retail Electric Supplier Certified Territory Act. His bill would require a retail electric service supplier intent on offering service in the territory of another retail service provider would have to notify the incumbent provider.
