States complain of being forced to create energy plans

Several Republican Attorneys General from area states have voiced their complaints about a stalled federal proposal that would force some states to create an energy plan.

Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor was not among those who wrote to U.S. Senate leaders last week and opposed what amounts to a takeover of grid planning. That’s because the complaining states are the 7 without a state energy plan. Oklahoma has such an existing plan.

Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt was one of those who signed the letter to U.S. Senate leaders reported the Kansas Reflector.
