Supreme Court won’t hear Koch, Exxon Mobil and API challenge to climate lawsuit

Koch Industries drops criminal-history question from job applications

A setback for Koch Industries, Exxon Mobil Corporation XOM and the American Petroleum Institute.

The US Supreme Court refused this week to dismiss their request to move Minnesota’s climate change lawsuit from state court to federal court. The suit was filed in 2020 by Minnesota Attorney Geneeral Keith Ellison who contended the three groups used deceptive marketing practices for decades to downplay risks of burning fossil fuels.

Zacks reported the three argued the suit was more appropriate to be heard in federal court because of the national and global significance of climate change.
