Worker killed in Marathon Petroleum refinery fire in Texas

Employee dies in fire at Marathon Galveston Bay refinery unit in Texas City

 

The Monday morning fire that left one worker dead at the Marathon Petroleum Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas is under investigation.

Reuters reported the fire happened around 9:30 a.m. and was eventually extinguished. It happened as workers were doing routine maintenance and a seal failed on the 75,000 barrel-a-day Ultraformer 3.
