Co-Chairman, Board of Directors / Founding Partner
Colby D. Tiffee is the Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Professional Energy Marketers Association (“PEMA”). Mr. Tiffee is a career energy industry professional with an extensive background of being a collaborative team leader, selfless contributor and continuous learner that has been credited with adding value in the design and implementation of business plans and strategies for marketing natural gas, crude oil, helium, and natural gas liquids.
Colby is employed as the Commercial Marketing Manager for Houston, TX based, LINN Energy, Inc. (LNGG) (“LINN”). Since joining LINN in 2007, he has managed all commercial marketing activities including the period in which LINN was the largest E&P Master Limited Partnership in the United States and the 13th largest domestic independent oil & natural gas producer. Mr. Tiffee joined LINN as a part of LINN’s acquisition of the Mid-Continent assets from Dominion Exploration & Production. Today his current role consists of managing all commercial marketing activities across LINN’s upstream and midstream businesses in the Mid-Continent and TexLa regions. Prior to joining LINN and Dominion Exploration and Production he was employed at Duke Energy Field Services (“DCP Midstream”) and Enogex (“Enable Midstream Partners”).
Mr. Tiffee is a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Energy Management with a minor in Finance, and holds an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Law from Carl Albert State College in Poteau, OK. He has extensive leadership training throughout his career and has served on the Board of Directors for the Natural Gas and Energy Association for three years and is a member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, California Independent Petroleum Association and Michigan Oil and Gas Association.
Colby’s passion for education, specifically within the energy industry, and his career development path has driven him to create an organization that directly serves the marketing sector of the energy industry. He credits his energy focused education and his industry mentors for his consistent success. His focus on establishing a professional platform for energy marketers is the foundation from which he leads PEMA.
Colby is set to be PEMA President starting in January, 2022.
