Vince Castro is an experienced commercial professional spanning a career across physical and paper commodities Trading, (Upstream) Offshore Geotechnical & Geochemical Services, (Downstream) Portfolio, and (Midstream) Pipeline business leadership. Currently working in Shell Pipeline, Vince leads the California pipeline business where critical leadership and integration is required between crude oil producers, pipeline operations, and the downstream refineries. Prior to joining Pipeline in 2012, Vince closed strategic divestment initiatives throughout the Caribbean and Latin America for Shell’s Downstream businesses.
Before joining Shell, Vince worked as an expatriate for two different companies in Brazil; both as a commodity trader and several years managing a joint venture offering offshore upstream services. In between expat assignments and Shell employment, Vince celebrated completion of a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Texas A&M University in 2009. Subsequent to completing the MBA, Vince continued his servant leadership core belief by serving in various capacities on the Texas A&M University Fulltime MBA Advisory Board of Directors. Vince also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University completed in 2000.
Whether it be through continued formal education to further personal and professional growth, or via expanding the universe of professional experience across the energy value chain, Vince is anxious to continue learning thus his excitement to interact within this Professional Energy Marketers Association.
