Increased oil and gas production forecast in March

A new report shows the government anticipates increased new well oil and gas production in most of the shale plays in the U.S.

The Anadarko, the Bakken, Eagle Ford, Niobrara and the Permian Basin will see gains in both oil production and gas production from February to March.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported that it anticipates oil production to remain flat in the Haynesville while natural gas production will grow.

As for existing production, the Anadarko’s oil and gas production will see a slight decline in March. The Bakken, Eagle Ford, Niobrara and the Permian will see gains in both oil and gas while the Haynesville once again will find an increase in natural gas production while oil will remain flat.
